How To Get Twice As Much Done, Working Less Hours

Presented by Peter Johnson, the Time Retriever Over the past 13 years of coaching over 158 small to medium sized businesses and thousands of individuals, Peter has seen business owners extremely frustrated at not being able to find the time to get everything done. They set goals and action plans and have a lot of enthusiasm for working with their plans, only to see it fall in a heap when you get to the office and everything else happens. In this presentation, Peter Johnson - The Time Retriever, will show you why many business owners struggle to have control of their time and how to overcome this problem. He will take you through the 4 key areas that he found you need to develop skills in, to take back control of your day. Peter will also show you the process he has developed that aims at helping you to get twice as much done in your day, working less hours, and some case studies of owners who have achieved these results. Find out more about Peter Johnson here.

Managing teams – how to unlock the potential within and between people

Presented by Csaba Toth Companies spend a fortune on recruitment and employee engagement, yet, they are struggling to keep their best people and attract new talent. Between 60-80% of all problems in a company are due to a clash of values, personalities and poor leadership. These issues all stem from the same source: the lack of understanding of why people think and behave differently and how to turn those differences into synergy, instead of painful liability. We tackle this challenge on 2 levels: - Individual level, as most people use 10% of their personality and the other 90% is waiting to be unlocked - Group level, as smart people rarely excel as a team. Companies hope to create synergy by combining their skills; in reality, 79% of their potential gets lost due to interaction gap, which is bad for business Managers need to learn how to lead in a way that makes employees feel understood and engaged, instead of draining each other and suffocating the business. Entrepreneurs are experiencing similar issues as often they are the CEO, middle-manager and employee, too. Understanding their own and other people's mindset is the key to success; no hacks and processes can compensate for it.   Find out more here

Csaba Toth

Presenting: How to unlock the potential within and between people. Csaba Toth is the founder of ICQ Global and the developer of the multi award-winning Global DISC model.  He spent the last 15 years cracking the code of why people think and behave differently; and how to turn those differences into synergy instead of painful […]

Breaking free from unhelpful bias – the key to an inclusive workplace

Presented by: Julie Thomas There is considerable research that shows diverse perspectives drive innovation and excellence in customer service. But diversity is hard! Isn't it so much easier to have a group of "yes" people round the table? It's essential that you focus on creating an inclusive workplace to harness the power and value that diversity brings. By understanding the different biases that can impact your people and creep into your HR processes, you can take action. In this session we'll explore different types of bias and how to mitigate them as well as how language and behaviours shape an inclusive culture. Julie has written numerous articles about this and similar topics on LinkedIn - read them here.

Top ten tricks to improve your cold calling success rates

Presented by: Chris Dawson If you’d like to generate more sales, grow your business and be a top earner, then there's one thing you should do immediately - pick up that phone and dial! There is no denying that social media and email campaigns have an important role in a twenty first century holistic sales campaign – and they are growing in importance. However, you cannot make as great an impact in a short space of time by tweeting, LinkedIn posts and spray and pray emails as you can by getting your hands dirty at the business end of your phone and dialling numbers. There are 100s of reasons why business owners and sales people all over the world avoid picking up the phone to set appointments to sell and we could explore them for hours. But in this presentation you will receive a few top tips to help overcome that fear and make better calls. Don't be "Just another damn sales call!" Remember, you are one of a hundred calls received daily. You need to create an impact, sound intriguing and be a worthy distraction from what they are doing at the time you call. Your biggest challenge in any cold call is to get the prospects attention away from what they are doing and focused on what you have to say. If you don’t have their ears you definitely won’t get their business. Find out more here

I work with my clients on 7 steps that they need to consider when creating their sales process within their business. Reality is there is so much more to selling than the final transaction and I’ll be covering the steps in this webinar and offering you the opportunity to receive a free Sales Process Checklist download to help you identify what you have covered and what needs more of your time. Best Practice in Approval Management & Keeping the Momentum

Presented by: Simon Wilcox Pretty much everyone in the course of their working life has to ask for someone else’s opinion / approval. It could be something simple like asking a manager to sign off a travel expense claim or attendees to agree meeting minutes. Alternatively it might be something more complex such as getting the go ahead for a new business idea or project. Either way, until you get the OK you’re stuck – you can’t move forward with the idea, paperwork or project and it's easy to lose momentum. It can be particularly difficult to keep track of the process when multiple colleagues, partners or clients are involved. Typical frustrations in a situation like this are:

  • ensuring people get off the fence and commit to a decision
  • keeping track of who’s said what and who’s ultimately given their approval
  • setting out all the information to support decision making in one place so that people can easily give you a yes or no response
  • encouraging collaboration so that people share their views about your proposal in a constructive and useful way
  • having a record of the decision making process that helps you monitor what’s been approved, by who and why
In this talk we show you how the whole team can keep the momentum going. Find out more about Smart Approve here.
